The Boston Bruins chose Lysell with the No. 21 pick in the 2021 NHL Draft after the forward had an impressive season with Lulea in the Swedish Hockey League. He's the first Sweden-born player chosen in the first round by Boston since defenseman Lars Jonsson (No. 7) and forward Martin Samuelsson (No. 27) in the 2000 NHL Draft.
