Anton Lundell signed a six-year contract with Florida Panthers on July 3, 2024, coming off a season when he 35 points (13 goals, 22 assists) in 78 regular-season games and 17 points (three goals, 14 assists) in 24 Stanley Cup Playoff games to help the Panthers win the Cup. In the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers, Lundell led the Panthers with five assists, and his five points tied for second on the team behind Evan Rodrigues (seven points).

The following season, Lundell set a career high with 45 points in 79 regular-season games and had 18 points in the playoffs, leading all players with a plus-19 rating, to help the Panthers repeat as champions. He helped Team Finland win bronze at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

Lundell became the first player from Finland taken in the 2020 NHL Draft when the Florida Panthers selected him at No. 12. He was rated No. 3 among European skaters in NHL Central Scouting's final rankings.

The center scored 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists) in 44 games as an 18-year-old in 2019-20, his second season with HIFK in Liiga, Finland's top pro league.

As a 17-year-old, Lundell helped Finland finish first at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship (he missed the 2020 tournament because of injury). One year earlier, he was part of Finland's tournament-winning team at the World Under-18 Championship.

Lundell emerged as an impact player for a Panthers team among the best in the NHL through the midway point of the 2021-22 season. He led rookies with 14 assists, 17 points and a plus-20 in 15 games to be named the NHL Rookie of the Month for January, Florida's first player to earn the honor since Jonathan Huberdeau in February 2013. His four multipoint games were highlighted by five assists, a Panthers rookie record for assists and points in one game, in an 8-4 win at the Columbus Blue Jackets on Jan. 31. His 17 points set a Panthers record for most points in a calendar month by rookie, previously held by Jesse Belanger (15 in December 1993 and 12 in January 1994).
