Carcone signed a two-year, $3.5 million contract (average annual value of $1.75 million) with the Utah Mammoth on March 20, 2026. The undrafted forward signed with the Vancouver Canucks on July 15, 2016, and played for American Hockey League affiliates of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators and Arizona Coyotes before signing with the Coyotes on July 29, 2021. He was transferred to Utah on June 13, 2024, after the NHL Board of Governors approved the establishment of a franchise in Salt Lake City.
Carcone was awarded the 2023 John B. Sollenberger Trophy as the leading scorer in the AHL after he had 85 points (31 goals, 54 assists) in 65 games for Tucson and finishing the season with more multipoint games (25) than scoreless games (18). The native of Ajax, Ontario, helped Canada win a gold medal at the 2023 IIHF World Championship with six points (three goals, three assists) in 10 games. Before turning pro, Carcone played two seasons for Drummondville of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 2014-16 and led the Voltigeurs with 89 points (47 goals, 42 assists) in 2015-16.
He and his wife, Mia, have been outspoken advocates for the Down syndrome community throughout their time in Utah. Carcone was one of four NHL players that designed a special sock collection supporting the non-profit For Bare Feet in honor of World Down Syndrome Day, recognized on March 21, 2026. He and his Mammoth teammates wore the mismatched socks he designed walking into Delta Center prior to a 4-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks one day earlier.
