Myers went undrafted but was invited to Flyers development camp in 2015. After a strong performance during the summer and at main training camp, Philadelphia signed the defenseman to an entry-level contract Sept. 21, 2015.
He returned to Rouyn-Noranda of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for his second and third seasons and continued to develop. In 2015-16 he tied for the QMJHL lead among defensemen with 17 goals as Rouyn-Noranda won the league title, and he helped Canada finish second at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Myers began his professional career with Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League in 2017-18 with 21 points (five goals, 16 assists) in 50 games.
He made his NHL debut Feb. 17, 2019, at the Detroit Red Wings, and scored his first goal in his eighth game, against the Washington Capitals on March 6, 2019.
Myers started 2019-20 in the AHL but after four assists in six games was recalled Oct. 30 and worked his way into a steady spot in the Philadelphia lineup. He played for the Nashville Predators and Tampa Bay Lightning before joining the Toronto Maple Leafs as a free agent July 2, 2024. He signed a two-year, $1.7 million contract with Toronto on Jan. 3, 2025.
