Selected by the Rangers in the fourth round, 118th overall, of the 2014 NHL Draft, Igor Shesterkin has posted a 162-88-22 record with a 2.52 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage in 274 games across six seasons, all with the Blueshirts. He notched six shutouts last season, tied for the second most among all goalies in the NHL. He participated in the 2024 NHL All-Star Game and recorded his third straight 30-win season, joining Henrik Lundqvist (11) and Ed Giacomin (5) as the only three goaltenders in franchise history to have 3+ 30-win campaigns. Shesterkin led the league in save percentage (.935) and goals-against average (2.07) in 2021-22, winning the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s top goaltender.
