Signed by the Rangers as a free agent on July 1, 2023, Jonathan Quick posted an 11-7-2 record, 3.17 goals-against average and a .893 save percentage in 24 games, along with three shutouts, in his second season with New York. He skated in his 800th career game on Mar. 2 vs. Nashville, becoming the 17th goaltender in NHL history to appear in 800 or more games, and notched his 400th career win on Feb. 2 vs. Vegas. His 404 career wins ranks 13th most in NHL history. During the 2023-24 season, he became the all-time wins leader (392) among American-born goaltenders, surpassing Ryan Miller. The Milford, Connecticut native won the Stanley Cup with the Kings in 2012 and 2014 and with Vegas in 2023. He is a two-time Vezina Trophy finalist and a three-time NHL All-Star selection. Quick won the Conn Smythe Trophy and was an NHL Second All-Star Team selection in 2012 and has won the William M. Jennings Trophy, which is awarded to the goalies who played for the team that allowed the fewest goals, twice (2013-14, 2017-18).
