The Winnipeg Jets felt the need -- the need for speed.
Jets players arrived at the 2026 Tim Hortons Heritage Classic at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg wearing ultra cool bomber jackets and aviator shades on Sunday.
They walked into the outdoor game, set for puck drop at 7 p.m. ET (TVAS, SN, TNT, truTV, HBO MAX), channeling their best "Top Gun" look, complete with white T-shirt and blue jeans.
"It’s fitting for the Jets to be wearing the Top Gun outfit and that is what inspired it," said Cole Perfetti. "They did a great job in putting it all together and we appreciate it. I think we look pretty good too."
The bomber jackets had patches on the front and arms. The front featured pilot wings with a nameplate and a Jets logo on the right side with the Heritage Classic logo.
There's been a longstanding tradition of themed outfits for NHL outdoor games, and the Jets definitely didn't disappoint Sunday.
In jackets like that, they can be our wingmen anytime.
