Rodrigues fined maximum for high-sticking in Devils game

Forward penalized $5,000 for actions against Canucks center Rossi

NEW YORK -- New Jersey Devils forward Evan Rodrigues has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for high-sticking Vancouver Canucks forward Marco Rossi during NHL Game No. 71 in New Jersey on Saturday, Oct. 10, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 19:50 of the second period. Rodrigues was assessed a double-minor penalty for high-sticking.

The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
