Status report
The Predators could make several changes from a 6-0 loss at the Boston Bruins on Thursday; Wood is expected to elevate to right wing on the first line and be replaced by Kerfoot at third-line center, Forsberg could drop to second-line left wing from the same spot on the first and Perbix likely will enter the lineup on the third defense pair in place of Lyubushkin. ... Malkin, a forward, participated in the Penguins optional morning skate but will not play after missing practice Friday because of an illness. ... Brazeau wore a regular contact jersey during the morning skate; the forward has yet to play this season after being injured during a preseason game on Sept. 21. ... Hayes will make his season debut after being recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday. ... Girard was placed on injured reserve Saturday; the defenseman wore a non-contact jersey during the morning skate.
