Status report

Minnesota held an optional morning skate. … Shabanov, who missed a 2-1 loss at the Calgary Flames on Thursday, participated in the skate, but coach John Hynes did not know if the forward would be available. … Defenseman Daemon Hunt was placed on waivers Friday and was claimed by the Nashville Predators. … McCann, a forward, is being evaluated for an injury sustained in a 5-3 win against the Utah Mammoth on Thursday. … Nyman was recalled from Coachella Valley of the American Hockey League on Saturday, but it is unclear if the forward will play; Kraken coach Lane Lambert said there are other “game-time decisions” that will impact whether Nyman is in the lineup.
