The Carolina Hurricanes put a ring on Frederik Andersen’s finger.

On Wednesday, the team presented the veteran goalie with his Stanley Cup championship ring during their trip to Edmonton.

Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour gave a speech before giving Andersen the bling in a video posted by the team on social media.

“Obviously, this man we know who he is, no introduction,” Brind’Amour said to his team in the locker room. “He’s always going to be a part of the family and you guys are going to be bonded with him forever even though he’s on the other group right now. He’s a Hurricane. Love this guy.”

General manager Eric Tulsky then handed Andersen with the box containing the ring.

Andersen took the ring out of the case and put it on his finger while his former teammates clapped.

“Thanks boys. I’ve been looking forward to seeing this (the ring),” Andersen said in the video. “I’ve been trying not to look online, but I’ve been looking forward to seeing this for a while. Obviously, wish I could’ve been there with you guys when you saw it, but thanks for doing this. It’s cool.”

The Hurricanes and Oilers face each other on Thursday (9 p.m. ET) at Rogers Place.
